A group of men and women from diverse professional backgrounds and personal experiences who have come together to provide tuition assistance for students in need.  The support allows students to attend one of the finest private schools in Illinois so that they may benefit from a holistic education model that enhances the academic, physical and moral well being of the student.  

Established in 2015 by the Hellenic Alumni Association, a not-for profit 501 (C) (3) organization, and the parents of existing Loyola Academy students of Greek heritage, our goal was and remains to provide financial assistance to prospective Loyola Academy students who are Greek Orthodox and of Greek heritage. 

The Hellenic Alumni Association NFP provides financial assistance in the form of scholarships to prospective Loyola Academy students who are Greek Orthodox and of Greek heritage. The scholarships are based on merit, financial need and the students’ embodiment of the Greek ideal of “Philotimo.”

Our organization was formed based on our belief in the ancient and solemn Hellenic ideal to provide our children with a strong educational foundation so that they may grow and have fulfilling lives full of love, respect, and pride for themselves and their communities. 

The enriched educational experiences these young women and men achieve are a testament to our Hellenic heritage. Our honored Greek tradition asks us to be philanthropic; to give to those who need; to be selfless; and to live for others. This is “Philotimo”-this is our mission.
